PLANT-JUGGLING
The proposal of this project is Plant-Juggling, a new approach to juggling technique that aims to co-create with plants. Working specifically with evidencing and responding to plant agency in urban public spaces. Our cities are produced through an anthropocentric bias that places humans above other beings. In this context, this research project focuses on shifting this paradigm, focusing on plant-human relationships. Engaging with plants as subjects of public space, rather than how they are commonly perceived, as living objects in the landscape. Examining public space and circus discourse through a Critical Plant Studies perspective, and in synergy with practical experimentation, this project is creating a collection of exercises for plantjuggling. In this way, making a guide to prompt responsible co-creation between jugglers and plant partners.
